In 2001 Thormahlen bred an exceptional colt by Calido I out of Larsa (Come On) As a 2 year old he cought attention at his first free jumping event. He showed things that were well beyond the ability of many 4 year old, his breeder says. By the name of Cero he was the 3 year old winner of the stallion performance test of Redefin, where he was immediately licensed by the Mecklenburg studbook and leased to the national studfarm Landgestut Redefin. As a 5 years old Cero returned to Kollmar. Then also the Holstein studbook licensed the stallion in Elmshorn, where he promptly won the qualifier for the German National Championship.
